first child, my stomach was left looking like a sagging, deflated balloon. i don't know if this is the result of my second c-section or if this is normal after birth. i've been actively walking, but still, the tummy remains. what can i do to get rid of this hanging skin. what workouts can i do to tighten and get rid of my stomach?

  1. I've heard that getting rid of the baby pouch after a c-section can be alot harder than natural birth..

what I was doing to get rid of mine (before I got pregnant with #2 at 8mths post partum) was a few hundred crunches daily, stretching, tossing baby in the air while playing (great workout) and ...s*x lol. :) hope this helps

  2. there is nothing you can do to speed it up, it will smooth out in time. you will never have a fully flat tummy like you did before kids, but hey, a lot of things have changed! Embrace your mommy body, it was the vessel that grew and nurtured your 2 little miracles!

  3. With some women this is just how the skin will be, especially after 2 c sections.  Only plastic surgery will take the skin away.

  4. i had a c-section with my first and i will with this one now.. the reason you are having a hard time toning up the loose ends is b/c when they do a c-section the stomach muscles are torn making it harder to "tone": them up so to speak.. hence that is why most celebs get a tummy tuck after the surgery.. just keep on exercising and in due time it will work.. most cases there still might be some loose skin there..

  5. exercises only goes so far then comes surgery

  6. Some women will always have the saggy belly skin after a pregnancy, but you can do things to tone and tighten it up.  You'll want to work on your core muscles - pilates is a good way to do this. Another good thing to do it tightening your stomach inwards and holding it every time you think about it. When you do this, you should feel like your belly button is being pulled out your back...and remember to breath...this one can be add to a number of crunches and helps you pinpoint the muscles stretched out.  Both of these will help you tighten up and potentially help get your stomach back to pregnancy condition.
