I just had s*x 3 days ago. can a a doctor detect if I am pregnant through a urine sample?

I went to the doctor and asked them to give me a test. It came back negative. but are the results accurate?

No pregnancy cannot be detected this early by urine or blood. Had you waited a week or so and gotten a blood sample that would've provided you with the information u wanted to know.

Not if you just had s*x 3 days ago. Their urine tests are the same as you can buy at the drug store, which require you to miss your period, or at least 14 days after you have s*x.

I took 4 home pregnancy tests and they were all positive.  Then I went to the doctor and their pregnancy tests came back negative....then they took blood and it came back positive.  So I figured that the doctors tests are not as sensitive and the early HPT's are since most people do not go in for a check up until they are a least 6 weeks pregnant.  So they do not need to spend the money on really nice sensitive tests.....So I would say no, a urine sample from the doctor could not pick up pregnancy after 3 days!

nope. sorry. Even the doctor can't tell until right around the time that u miss a period. The only thing that can detect it sooner,which i don't remember how much sooner, is a blood test.

6-12 days after ovulation, he MAY be able to detect pregnancy with blood test, but urine takes about 2 or 3 weeks after s*x to be accurate.
