I just heard on the news that a mother reported her sons to the police for taking part in a violent crime?

Apparently, they had badly beaten up a father of two. Would you do the same thing? I think she did the right thing as hopefully they will be put off behaving in this way in the future, but would you have done the same????

  1. Without a doubt, i would not have to think twice about reporting them. It seems that it is down to the individual to ensure the streets are crime free, as our government do not seem to have the balls to handle the situation with any degree of competence. A crime is a crime and i would hope that people would do the same if it was me or mine that were attacked x

  2. All praise to the lady.

It must have been a most difficult thing to do.

Depending on the circumstances, I like to think that I would do the same - but some careful thought and a lot of character, would have to go into the decision.

Let's hope that things turn out right for this lady's boys.

  3. She probably found it very hard, and I admire her courage.  I hope in the long run her son will learn and thank her for it.

Hope the person her son beat up is now recovered, and no lasting injuries. Remember Gary Newlove and his poor family

  4. Absolutely, every time.

  5. yes i agree it was the right thing to do. My mum has had me arrested a few times in the past. im 17 and when i was younger i was a little $hit and i was constantly stealing cars and selling them on as spare parts to dealers but one day my mum court me  trying to hot wire a car (i was 13) and she rang the police to have me arrested which they did and i was charged and my mum made me pay the owner back for the damage but it was the best thing my mum could have done for me and i thanked her for it because it couldn't have been easy for her and she had to do it a lot. it worked for me i haven't been in trouble with the cops since i was 14. im not proud of what i used to do but i got involved with the wrong people (still no excuse) and i honestly believe it was the best and only thing my mum could have done to help me
