I just heard that lemons in restaurants sometimes have fecal matter......Why are waiters/waitresses not washin

it's people everywhere that don't wash their hands.  and it's really sad that people just don't care about being clean, that is really sad. even cats wash up.

well you have to think of alot more things...

tomatoes... no bathrooms in the fields, they pee all over the place, lettuce, spinach (most comes from Mexico-yuk!).

people at restaurants that handle anything from coming from  the bathroom without washing their hands risk the potential spreading of germs and nasty illnesses.

there is a government kitchen inspection here (SC) called DHEC that inspects kitchens and everything people do a few times  a year,and post their scores on websites and newspapers for the community to read.

so you can see your favorite place to eats scores.

as much as we want to think people who handle are food are being sanitary, they probably are, but most arent.

The problem is, they don't wash the lemon skin off before slicing it up. No one knows where the lemon has been! There are no bathrooms in the fields where they are picked.

most all produce has fecal matter on it, sometimes even the hepatitis virus. pickers in the fields dont have a lot of options when it comes to sanitation. (i worked in the canalope field once) think also what may be lurking in the water that made that iced tea, or the meat you are eating. germs are everywhere, if you become germaphobic, you will never leave your house, but of course, then what would you eat or drink?

You are worried about lemon.....money has lots of fecal matter. Think about how much you handle money and then eat without washing your hands.
