I just interviewed for a really great job. However, my credit is REALLY bad. Is it hopeless?

I was really sick for three years and had really big hospital bills with very poor insurance. I got behind on hospital bills and credit cards. I am now trying to get current with the bills. I know the company I interviewed with wants to hire me. My credit got trashed and I am working with a credit counselor to fix. I am afraid they won't hire me because of this. Anyone out there with a poor credit history that got hired?

My credit is really bad and I got hired by the forth largest bank in the country. They make look at your credit but don't let it bother you. Most people are gonna go on past work ethic and there gut feeling. GOOD LUCK!!!

are you for sure they are going to run a credit check on you... be honest with them. get verification from your credit counselor if need be.
