  1. Go buy a Fantasy Football Magazine.  It will be more than informative enough to get you started.  Also, watch a lot of football, watch and listen to sports news, and chat at the sports bar.  I have been into Fantasy football for over ten years and found that the draft doesn't help you win, it's the players you pick up afterward.  So, pay attention and always be ready to act.

  2. make a list (your own) of all players, all positions in order from best to worst. Pick your best available player.

your top 10 should be something like this:

    Ladanian Tomlinson. (RB)

    Brian Westbrook (RB)

    Tom Brady (QB)

    Adrian Peterson(RB)

    Steven Jackson (RB)

    Randy moss (WR)

    Joseph Addia (RB)

    Frank Gore (RB)

    Marion Barber (RB)

    Terrel Owens (WR)

the first round is full of lots of RB. those in the top 10 are elite players.

but you dont need to get a RB first round. If tom Brady is available 3 and up  Grab him (its debatable if he is even a 1st overall player). look at magazine lists, they will descirbe the players so you can decide who YOU think is best.

the list i gave is in no way how you have to have it. its a good starter list but it can change A LOT. if you think Brian westbrook isnt going to do as good as i think then move him down some and grab someone else. but make a list of over 100 players and cross them out as they go. then pick the best avaialble. keep in mine what positions you need but pick the best players...

this REALLY helped me. go to Sportsline.com sign up (its free) and do some of the mock drafts. go to Fantasy in the top left corner and there is a box about halfway down that screen (once your in fantasy) and it will say fantasy Mock Draft. click on that and join a draft. (look at what draft you go into... some have 2 WR  and some have 3 WR.Etc. pick the one closest to your league.  and then do it. its really easy, they have a list (although its not very good, but it gets the job done.. just dont take it as how its supposed to be). you can talk to people on there and ask their opinions on your picks and such... it really help me

  3. stay aware on all nfl news of example if an OL retires then you have to worry about the rb or if someone gets hurt also trades, schedule

dont draft 2 players with the same bye week for example TJ and 85

same team same bye week thats 2 really good wr both out when they have get a cheat sheet that has player rankings and bye weeks so you dont read on all nfl news see if any news affects your players

    go after 1,and 2nd wr's

  4. Buy a magazine to help you out.  It will give you great information.

If you like fantasy football, then you might get a kick out of this too. It's a little different but it's simple and fun. At least try this. Just click on the link...
