I tried washing my hands with whipping cream and then I tried vinegar. It still burns when I touch the white part of my eye softly as a test.

I don't need to be told about gloves. I know I should have used them, but what's done is done. I'm buying gloves tomorrow.

  1. milk will surround the acids one your skin and wash them away.Cream has too much fat in it to do the same job. It will work in your mouth but not on your hands.

  2. When i was in culinary school the chef would make us dip our hands in milk after touching spicy foods. The Lactic Acid neutralizes the spiciness.

  3. Do you have any baking soda?...You could rub some on your hands then add some more to warm water and soak them...I don't know, but its worth a shot...anything else I can think of to get rid of the pepper would be just as bad as the pepper or bad for your skin (like clorox...I wouldn't, by the way)...only other ideas are peroxide or alcohol, but baking soda won't hurt your skin...hope it works out for you!

  4. Looks like you still need a barrier!  Try plastic wrap.
