  1. Try a carpet deodorizer like Arm and hammer expecially made for pets. Or get a professional (chem-dry) to come clean the carpet if that doesn 't work, if not then you'll have to buy new carpet. Also my favorite air freshener that really gets rid of odors is the Febreeze Air Effects. They have so many scents and they linger for a long time!

  2. If you don't have a carpet cleaner then you can rent one.  I have dogs and what I do is to add to the cleaner solution about a cup of Fabreeze (the one meant for fabric not for air odors).  This works for me.

  3. rip out carpets and padding, paint the walls.

  4. there are products you can buy at pet stores that neutralize the odors..

also, keep the windows open for a day with a fan blowing in the fresh air.

  5. We had a stray cat get locked in our jeep and he wet on the carpet.  we were told by the repair man to use coffee grounds, the cheapest is the best, Just open the container and sprinkle the DRY (UNUSED) coffee all over the carpet and leave for 24 to 48 hrs before vacuuming, and it worked.

have never smelled anything.  Hope you the best.

  6. Your local health food store has wonderful, non toxic cleaners with enzymes to get rid of that oder, check it out!

Orange oil works wonders as well.

  7. The carpets are your culprit. The smell will not fade until you rip out the carpet and underlying padding that's probably saturated with the odor.

Hopefully you rented, so talk with the owner and discuss with him financial arrangements to replace the carpet. He should have to pay for it, as that should have been his maintenance between tenants. If he complains or anything else negative, look for your renter's rights. Depending on the state you live in, google renter's rights and determine your next strategm.

  8. If you have scrubbed everything, then it's possible the smell is in the carpet underlayment or even deeper.  If this is a rental unit inform the landlord. If it's your property you're going to have to air it out for a long time and maybe paint the interior and take up the carpets.

  9. went through this my self!  you need to remove everything made of fabric that came with the house  this includes carpets if they exist cause most likely you will find that the dogpee is in them or under them once youve removed the carpet youll have to clean the floor under them with bleach then put down some sort of covering either paint the floor or tile  but no matter what you do the only thing if bleach  doesnt work all the way is to seal it in to the floor some how   we painted ours with durable floor paint

  10. What are you using?

The the walls use something as strong as Ammonia. Or Pine sol.

Shampoo the rugs with Pine Sol with a cap full of bleach.

  11. My first suggestion is the rent a steam cleaner and add a cup full of Kids and Pets.  You can get it at Walmart or Home Depot.  Then when the carpet is dry sprinkle baking soda on it and then vacuum.  We all know that vacumms don't get up everything that you put down so some baking soda will linger in the carpet absorbing odor.  You should wash you windows with a extra strength cleaner and then with windex with vinegar.  I would also wash the walls with a good cleaner.  To deoderize your house you can also boil a couple of cups of vinegar on the stove.  It doesn't smell good at first but it will take care of the odors in your home.

  12. Baking soda worked for us on all the floors.  Left it on for a day then removed

  13. try an air sanitizer or maybe professionally cleaning the house. Make sure that when you are cleaning all windows are open and use lots of Clorox...
