Moved into dirty apartment with loud neighbors earlier today

  1. Nope...you signed a lease, you now must carry out your part.  You might try talking to the landlord about the noise and state of the apartment and see if you can come to some agreement about fixing what needs to be fixed.  Short of that, you can offer to live there until the landlord finds someone else to move in and switch the apartment to them.

    In the long run, however, you are liable for the rent until the end of the lease unless you can reach a new agreement with the landlord.


  2. check the contract for a cooling off period, you might be allowed to break out of it with no penalty.

    Failing that, find out exactly what the penalty will be for breaking the contract... but, before that, I would simply suggest threatening them with legal action for mis-selling you an unsuitable apartment based on the grievances listed above.

  3. Find a replacement by contacting landlords.


  4. I'm a landlord.  If you come to me and explain, i might release you.  If you are willing to pay me some money, i will be happy.  I now have to re-rent the place.

    If you move out in the middle of the night, i will be unhappy. I will have to go to court to get possession of the rental. /
