I live in the Northwest of the state no where near the ocean, but willing to travel a little way! I don't own a board here- would need to rent one.

  1. Hawaii's a great place to go surfing. Oh, you mean in Connecticut. Sorry, I never surfed there.

  2. Gotta make it to the Atlantic Ocean - Long Island Sound's no good for surfing.  Easy to get a map on Yahoo to show you how to get there.

  3. During the winter, Jersey is a great place to surf. But yea, if you really want to surf, the Pacific is the way to go.

I'll be moving to Hawai'i next year cause I can't take the east coast much longer. We've had 2 months of a flat spell so far... it really sucks...

  4. If you are nowhere near the PACIFIC SIDE coast, there is no good place to surf. go on google maps

  5. You probably will not have much luck in Connecticut itself but Rhode Island has some really good spots.  Surfer Magazine has a travel aid that might help you, I think its called Surf Spot but I am not at all sure of the name.  Good luck, enjoy Rhode Island!
