I was at soccer practice, and I play for Travel Soccer, and it's my first year in travel as before I used to play in Recreational, where I dominated. I am typically a mid-fielder, but I was chosen to play defence. I embarressed myself. I heard ppl whispering bout me, as I tried to ignore it, I talked to the coach and he said" I'll try to do soemthing, but communicate with your teammates!" Advice....?

  1. The defence can be a thought position if you don't have experience i don't have that much experience but i think that the

the base of a defence is a good speed at least that works for me, but here are some tips

    1. Always mark the free opponent (not in front of him because he can get the pass on a lateral always mark on the back so you can intercept the pass).

2.Don't look at your opponent he can be tricky just focus on the ball if you don`t feel confident.

    3. If your opponent is more build than you don't face him face to face because he will get away because of the advantage use quick movements.

    4. If you have the ball don´t rush to score a goal if it is necessary kick it to the line, this will give time for your team to regroup.

    5. Always kick the ball with the fingers because you want to take the ball out of your opponent.

    6. Use defensive movements like barrels, etc and never let your legs opens, you wont like to be the target of a tunnel.

    7. Stance flexed legs

    8. If you don't have other choice make a foul that's part of the game.

    9. when there are 2 vs 1 try to get the ball not to mark.

    10.  You are a defence after all you may think as you are a Stone, hard a solid don't let comments affect you.

    11. Your arms play a big roll, you cant touch the ball but they will protect you from the other always keep your arms at the upper body, exaple if you are going to hit the ball with the head somebody may tackle you if your arms are down but if you move them it will be hard to tackle you.

i know that you should know how to breath but remember take air with the nose as much as you can and exhale with the mouth because one of the common reason of exhaustation is because your body need oxygen. Well i can't thing on anything more right know its been like 3 month i haven't play a serious game, good luck

  2. that happened to me just make sure u stay on your mark and try to either bomb the ball out or just try to pass it out wide
