  1. They are Australian mobile numbers.

    Australian mobile numbers DO NOT have their own area codes. The first four digits are based on the network they're with.

    One can travel interstate and go anywhere, keeping the same number.

    So therefore, there is so such thing as a local mobile number.

    Holly, I'm sure you wouldn't give out your whole number online either. "X" is a  letter used to give unknown numbers.
