I just noticed the B-2 has np tail, what does it use to substitute for this?

I was just looking at a picture from the front looking at the back and I just thought of this...

  1. Most tailless aircraft have swept wings, which put the ailerons a fair way behind the c/g; so the ailerons double as elevators, while spoilers or airbrakes are used differentially to replace rudders.


  2. the first two answers are correct.

    Flying wings are very unstable because there is no vertical and horizontal

    stabilizers (tail and rear wing).

    This is why these designs were not practical

    until computers and "fly by wire" controls

    could take care of the inherent instability of a tailless aircraft.

    You will eventually see many more of these designs in the future due to their low drag profile and better computer technology make it safer especially as the price of oil keeps growing.

  3. It has spoiler like devices on the wings to control yaw is my understanding.
