I just ordered some Callaway X-20 irons!?

They should come in next week. I'm excited! So how much will these clubs lower my score? I suck, I normally shoot about 100-110.

Anyone else use these irons? How do you like them?

(I know the clubs alone won't make me much better, but I like to think that they will...)

  1. clubs can only do so much if i was you i probably would invest in lessons

  2. I wouldn't expect much. These clubs don't know who they're going to so they will only perform as well as the golfer that swings them. As that golfer improves his game through professional instruction and dedicated practice, then these clubs will perform better.

  3. Hard to say put a friend of mine who is about an 8 handicap (usually breaks 80) found that he hit them almost a club longer than his Pings he had been playing for a couple of years.  I think you will really see an improvement, but as you know ultimately it ain't the "bows and arrows" it's the guy shooting them that counts.

  4. The callaway x-20 irons are a great add on for a layer like yourself because it has a very forgiving club sole/face. They will also give you a bit more distance if you can hit. But these clubs will only work if you can actually swing a club.

  5. I use those very clubs.  And I think they're great!  Great feel and feedback.

And, no, they won't lower your scores.  You have to do that...by practicing.

  6. 100 - 110 isnt the best but its not that bad either. I play pretty often for the past couple years and im in the high 90's. Callaway X20's is the way to go.

  7. It's a very forgiving set and if you get some good contact on the ball, it'll fly hot and straight.

Sorry bro, the clubs won't help the scoring though -- that'll be all you. ;-)

    Enjoy the set!
