  1. Firewood prices tend to run according to where you are at....it costs more some places than others.  Typically, it is very expensive in larger cities.

Your best bet is to look for some advertisements in your local paper, or website, and ask for some prices there, telling them where you are at.  A simple "yes" answer doesnt consider your locale.

    Good Luck

  2. I think so. In Ohio I paid $75 and in Florida it was $65 delivered but not stacked.

  3. With thre price of gas the way it is?  I have been in firewood business 3 years.  Gas for saw, splitter, truck, delivery time.  I can't make any money at it anymore.  I don't sell by the cord,  I sell by the truckload.  Seasoned oak/hardwood.  If I did sell by cord, my price would be about $225.  I would stack it for you or at least offer.  My price is going up next winter.  Buy "green wood in summer if available discount.  It will be seasoned by September.

  4. for your area and the price of gas for cutting, splitting and delivery that's pretty close to the going rate

  5. If it's good wood, and seasoned, you didn't get ripped off, you just didn't shop around. You could have rented a truck, chainsaw, gas for both, and spent a day getting blisters and sore muscles. Quit complaining.

  6. Yes

  7. way too much, but then again it depends on where you live.

  8. In northern California it's sold by the cord, 4x4x8 or 128 cubic feet. Pine is about $100,Soft woods like fir go for about $200, some oak is up to $280 per cord.  I think the price depends alot where you live.
