  1. I live in CA, but spent a lot of time in Tennessee.

You forget to mention Tennesseans have a better sense of humor!

  2. Nope nothing to do... and yeah no jobs...

  3. no, it is to boring there.

  4. 1st 3 reasons r good reasons but the 4th one that is disgusting who would want to date their cousin or sister?

  5. Yes, Tennessee is beautiful, at least the eastern part and Appalachia.  Lots of Civil War sites.  But the state has some of the highest sales taxes, as it imposes local and state taxes that can often near 10%.

I live in Arizona and we have beautiful scenery here as well, as well as mild winters and lower taxes than you.  Our heating bills are also lower, and our cooling bills are minimal since we have a swamp cooler and don't use it very often.

There is a lot of poverty in the state, though.  I drove through Memphis during Christmas and was appalled at how run down parts of town were.

As for gas, well, it's still $3.77 here.  It should drop some more.  The highest was $3.89 all through July.

  6. Yes!!!

  7. 5. No jobs.

  8. Sounds good, however, like most states they figure one way or another to get you;

    Personal income tax

The Tennessee income tax does not apply to salaries and wages, but most income from stocks, bonds and notes receivable is taxable at a flat rate of 6 percent.

The first $1,250 in taxable income received by a single filer is exempt. The first $2,500 in taxable income received by a joint filer is exempt. Persons older than 65 and who have total income of less than $16,200 for a single filer or $27,000 for a joint filer also are exempt.

Tennessee tax returns are due on April 15 or the next business day if that date falls on a weekend or holiday

    Nice state overall.

  18. Now what kind of store owners do you have down there in Ten-a See

    .

They do read English don't they

    .

They do know that the first rule of the store owner is to put the shaft  to the customer all they can that is why they change the price of gasoline 3 times a day

    .

I bet the owner is on vacation or something and when they get back one more unemployed person in the unemployment line
