I just painted my walls a light pastel green...?

My trim and doors are white, along with a shelf above each window. Now, I'm going to paint dark a dark green celtic knot on my cieling (my cieling is white), 3 japanese characters on a wall, a tribal dragon on another wall, and the tree of life on yet another wall.

My question is should I paint the trim (baseboards, windowsills, doorframes, etc) a slightly darker green than the walls?

I think it looks nice the way it is, but I'm afraid that once the dark green designs go up it's going to look weird.

Will it?

  1. I would decide after you paint the designs, not before. It might look just right or it might need the extra darker green as the accent color. I would get a friends opinion, someone who can actually comment because they see it first hand.

  2. no! leave them white!

i love white trimming, it's so pretty & it looks really clean.
