i want to completely sand the the car down and primer it whats the best way to do this?

fix the body(if theres rust) once the body is fixed then u have to buy some grease and wax remover. then once your done putting on the grease and wax remover u can now start to paint/primer. after u primered the whole car u have to buy wet sanding paper 400-800grit and start sanding the whole car with water the more water the better. wet sanding makes the car smooth now once your done wet sanding your ready for paint or if u want u can just keep it primerd, its up to u. if u need help just let me know ill help u in anyway i can

taking it to bare metal, eh?  media blasting would be easiest.  hand sanding is not going to be an easy task.  in fact, it will take most of forever.  keep your sand paper as cog free as possible, and use lots of elbow grease!!!!
