I pierced at a very upward diagonal angle. I'm wondering if this is going to affect anything? Or if there's any general information I should be aware of anyways.

  1. It's going to be really awkward trying to put in earrings, but it should be fine. One of my cartilage piercings is like that, but you'll get used to it over time. It shouldn't be a problem, but like the other girl said, you'll maybe want to get it checked out, not only for the awkward angle, but to see if there's any chance of infection or ripping (you did pierce it yourself, correct?)

  2. Yeah, piercing at an angle like that isn't a good idea. It won't distribute the pressure from the jewelry very well. Also, cartilage piercings are very finicky and even the smallest thing can upset them. What kind of jewelry are you using in the piercing? CBR? Straight barbell? The type of jewelry will also have an effect on the piercing. My tragus absolutely refuses to allow anyting but labret studs and straight barbells in it, while another girl I know can wear CBR's in her tragus like it's nobody's business.

  3. if it doesnt hurt and you can still feel your ear you should be fine.

but i wouls get it checked out just in case

    :]

  4. It might become uncomfortable now since its in a different angle than normal, it possibly get snagged on easily, since pierced unprofessionally you are also in risk of infection and the healing itself will take longer since it was not pierced by a pro with the right sterlie equippment.
