I just pierced my lip, help??

Question

i just pierced my lip myself yesterday night and the ring i have in it is bend out cause it was hard to get it in.i want to put in another ring because the one i have in now is too big and it bothers me.i want to put one thats not so bent.is it too soon to just change it real quick?

and also, i expect it to be sore at first but is ther anything i can put one it to help the healing process??thanks.

As a DIY piercer with proper education and an RN: take it out. If you're bending the metal from pressure, it's clearly not the right gauge, and I'll put money on the fact it probably isn't a material suited for an open wound. All you're asking for is an infection. DIY piercings are totally fine...IF you know what you're doing and have the proper set-up and equipment. It's people like you that have no idea what they're doing that give DIYers a horrible name!

ya just make sure yr keeping it really clean

nd NOOO dont change the ring yet..trust me.

nd of course its going to be sore but if anything just spray a bunch of bactine on it. :) hope this helps...i did mine this summer too

don't change it again for at least a month

because your risking infection and such.

use quarter of a tea spoon of sea salts (the one you grind up)

and boiling water to clean the outside of the piercing and gargle the salt water in your mouth as well.

clean it 2 to 3 times a day

that will help the healing process.

don't change it cuz 1. it hurts(painful) 2.it could get infected 3.the piercing ring has to be small and thin....the smaller the better cuz it heals faster

if u really want to change it buy BACTINE and Antibiotic to apply in the piercing area...

but i recommend u not to change it because it gets easily infected and its painful and ur lip gets super swollen ...wat u should do is buy BACTINE apply it 3 times a day to help ur piercing heal faster and so u could change the ring faster too
