I just poured a concrete floor today. Will watering the cement regularly remove any lumps as it cures?

  1. spraying water might ruin the top smooth layer...smooth out any lumps before it hardens up


  2. it won`t remove any lumps but it will make the concrete harder and last longer with watering every day over a period of a few days

  3. what lumps? who left lumps on your floor...should be smooth as glass...

  4. That is why you use a float when you pour concrete. Any imperfections you see now are permanent.

  5. If you spray the top too soon it will weaken it but after several hours you can water it to help it cure stronger. as far as lumps they all have to be flat before it sets or becomes permanent. A magnesium float or a trowel should be used after screeding (leveling with a board) in order to give it a nice smooth and flat finish.
