I just purchased a model

I just purchased a model WES1130 microwave oven and wonder about the following two items. First, does the front panel have back lighting where ere key tabs are located)? It is very difficult to pick out the required tabs when trying to program a heating function.Secondly: when entering the following key tab sequence: [reset] -- [time cook] -- [numbers represtnting heating duration]-- followed by [start] requires frequent repeats/resets, for about 1/2 the tries end with on action taking place in the oven.Please advise answers to the above complications.
