I just purchased a mongoose 26'' maxim mountain bike from dickssportinggoods.?

Did I make a wise decision on this mountain bike? I am just getting started with mountain biking and I wanted a reliable and cheaper bike. It has full suspension and looks like a decent bike. Anyone have a second opinion they can offer?

its probably an ok bike. take it to the local bike shop and have them new the new bike once over. the great thing about buying bikes and the local shops is the fact that most of them give you a couple free tune-ups to get the cable stretch out and to make sure everything is staying in spec.  not a bad idea to take bike to shop every 50 miles or so after that to just have it looked over. lots of companys put out bikes but dont assemble them correctly so having a real shop look it over will prolong life. if you decide on a new bike, check out http://www.khsbicycles.com
