When I pull in my front brake lever the lever goes all the way to the grip then when I try to push the bike with the brakes in it moves.

  1. With the oil level full and the cap off..Pump your break's real slow to get it pumped up a little..The last pump hold it in and tape or zip-tie the lever to the hand grip...Walk away for a few hours...All the air will come to the top....

If that don't work then you need to replace the little copper washers on your break lines...

Tuesday Tip: Tightening Brakes...The Easy Way

    Posted: Apr 21, 2008

Many of you saw the Race Shop in the May Issue of TransWorld Motocross about correctly bleeding your brakes. If you did, you probably saw a little tip at the end about an easy way to tighten up the front brake with little-to-no effort.

If you didn't, it's quite simple. After you have bled your brakes, or even if you haven't, wrap a zip tie around your grip and front brake lever to compress the lever (for you back brake, weight the pedal or tie it down).

By doing this, you are applying constant pressure to the system and, in turn, any air bubbles flaoting in the lines will slowly make their way to the top of the cylinder. After enough time has passed, your brakes will feel as tight as they did when you picked up the bike from the dealer.

  2. you need to bleed the air out of the system. get a buddy to help/ pump up the brake until it's hard then loosen off the bleeder s***w a bit and let some of the fluid out. keep doing this until there in no air in the line. attach a length of clear tubing to the bleeder s***w and put the other end into a container. you will see air bubbles in the fluid until it is properly bled. remember to keep the reservoir full of fluid.
