  1. milo and otis like from hannah montanna

    nice use of names.

sorry. don't know anything about fish.

  2. yes they will,

    they are a few requirements,

they will need a good bed to root in,

and space to grow in, so if your tank has a hood you will need to lower the water level.

i doubt your gravel bed will have enough nutrients to support a plant,

get a pot for your plant,

look at guides for planting in ponds,

and if you fertilize your plants, nmake sure it's mixed with the soil,

and you use slow release aquatic fertilizer,

regular fertilizer will disolve into the water and kill everything.

Good luck, any more info needed, just message me.

    good luck.

  3. goldfish are vegetarians... they will eat the roots, but it is good for them, go for it :) As long as you have florescent lighting...

  4. Yea they will grow and float as long as you have a florecant light, no idea where to get one, sorry!

  5. You can get them at walmart for about 4.00 as bulbs. They take a LONG time to sprout and you'll be lucky if you get one to sprout out of the pack.

They will bloom. Provided your goldfish doesnt dig them up. Goldfish are notorious for pulling up plants. They love digging through their rocks looking for missed food, and those pesky plants get in their way.

But yes, if it is allowed to grow to full size it will end up having surface leaves, and flowers!

You will of course need to upgrade your lighting, plants wont grow using the fixtures that come with tanks. They need between 5,000-7,000 Kelvin (No less and no more!) and 7,000 to 10,000 Lumens in the spectrum of the red's and blue's.

    I hope this helps!

  6. I don't know where you are, but in the USA Petsmart stores do have lilly bulbs. Some nurseries have aquatic plants you just have to ask , check the internet and the phone book. I prefer to get bulbs because if you get grown plants you may introduce parasites into your tank.
