  1. Anytime you house unaltered male and female rabbits together you have to assume the female will get pregnant.  The presence of nipples have nothing to do with determining pregnancy.  Males have them too.

Nipples on the female may become slightly larger/swollens about a week or less before kindling (giving birth) but unless you know what you're feeling for it probably won't help.  Palpation (feeling for kits) is the best way to determine whether or not the doe is pregnant.  This takes some practice to be good at.  Palpation is done at 10 - 14 days.

It would be a very good idea to get that buck out of there now.  Females are very territorial and may kill a buck if she feels she needs to defend her territory.  She may also feel threatened if she kindles and the buck is in the same cage.  Then it is quite possible she will eat her babies from the stress of the threat she feels.  It's just what rabbits do.

Please read a good book on caring for rabbits.  You'll need to prepare things for your doe reall soon, anyway, and will need to know what to do.  I highly recommend "Storey's Guide to Raising Rabbits" by Bob Bennet.  This is a book that every rabbit owner should have.

    Good luck.

  2. Sounds to me like someone has a bun-ny-in-the-oven,

Honestly, take your girl to the vet for a better diagnosis. Only your Vet can tell you for sure what is going on.... before a bunny falls out.... anyway Then you will have a better idea. :-)

I would have your girl spaded if she is not pregnant... And definably after if she is! It doesn't always work for boys.

Or you could just separated them. But it sounds like bunny love to me.

  3. look at your father -he can't birth babies, but he's got nipples!!

  4. you should separate them,in case she is,he might eat the babies or cause HER to eat them,a sign that she is,if she starts pulling the hair under her chin out she prolly is close to having babies cause she is making a nest.

  5. Girl rabbits dont get there nipples when they are pregnant they get them at an age when there ready to have babies and when she is pregnant she will go very big and her nipples will fill up with milk when she is about to have them (3 weeks pregnant) but rabbits are pregnant for 4 weeks

  6. last I checked all mamals have nipples....even boys!

  7. Wow some people are just plain stupid.

Way to add to the over population of domestic animals.
