  1. Did you happen to notice the little sticker that says Purchase Date 8/25/84?

Your phone is the "ANTIQUE GOLD Cradlephone" model by Western Electric. It was part of their "Design Line".

"DESIGN LINE* telephones are the way in which Western Electric meets the needs of customers who want "a little something extra" in their telephones. These stylish telephones are available in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. Whether it be antique or contemporary, any decor will be enhanced by the addition of a DESIGN LINE* telephone."

The Design Line was introduced in 1974 and continued into the 80's

Just because the model is called "antique" does not make it an antique. To be truly antique something must be at least 100 years old. Your phone was made in the "antique style" that was popular in the late 70's and 80's.  I remember this line of phones well, infact I have the black candlestick one. I'm not old enough to remember when antiques were new!

  2. It would be compatible if you get the right connector or adapter to pluf it in. May not have tone dialing, only pulse.  If from the 70's and it has a keypad, it will have tone dialing.  Is it a Bell?

  3. This is a REPLICA antique telephone, look at the modern cordset and the plastic trimmings. I hope you didn't pay a lot of money for it?

Take a look at this site and see if you can find out anything more http://www.telephonesuk.co.uk/
