I just received my first whitetail buck mount from the taxidermist but NO INSTRUCTIONS for hanging--help!?

I'd like it to hang directly on the wall so it looks like he is busting through, so no wood medallion or anything. He is still in the box but I'm so excited to show it off!

I got a deer back a couple of months ago also. You want to use a nail NO SMALLER than a 16 penny or the equivalent s***w size (we used a s***w.)  Be sure it's in a stud!

first thing first,congragulation on your trophy.first thing you should do is find the 2x4 stud where you are planning on hanging it.then,get you a good size s***w(a big nail would work also,i preffer screws they hold better) and s***w it in sort of on an angle and hang your mount,then sit back and enjoy it!!!!!

Put a good BIG nail in the wall, hang the mount on the nail.

I just put a monster 10 point I shot in the Western U.P. of Michigan on my wall. All we did was use a stud finder to locate the stud and got a 3 inch s***w and screwed it in.

You will have to put a good size nail or s***w in the wall with an upward angle to it. Then look closely at the base of the neck that the cape is attached to- there should be a slot in it that the nail will go into in order to hang the mount on the wall.
