I was wondering if you can be reimbursed for the "educational" trips and purchases that you make over in Germany. Also, can I drive over there? And can I travel by myself across Germany and to other countries? Any advice would be great!

  1. Congrats, you are really really lucky!

Very few people recieve this scholarship, so I highly doubt that you'll find somebody here who can answer your questions. IIRC, this scholarship was for young people to visit the other country respectively for a year with most of the expenses paid for.

So yes, you should be able to travel to Germany. Driving age is 18 for a car, btw. If you are under that, you'll be forced to take public transport, I fear. It should also be possible to make trips to other countries in Europe by yourself, but this would be at your own expense I think.

If you have just recieved the scholarship, you should recieve all the information you need very soon. It should answer most of your questions.

Feel free to ask as many questions about Germany here as you like, the regulars here will love to answer.
