Question:

I just recently got rid of a nasty virus in my computer...?

now I have two more problems.

First of all some of the thumbnails in my picture file are blank. Not all of them, but most of them. When I click on the thumbnail all the pictures inside are blank too. If I click on one of the blank pictures it finally comes up (like it did before) in my photoshop so I can see it in full view. So my pictures are still there, I just can't see the thumbnail of them. This is not only annoying but it makes it impossible to upload pictures to another site because I can't see what I'm uploading.

Secondly the time in the bottom right corner of my screen has switched to military time. I tried going through the control panel to change it, but its still set to normal time in the control panel.

WTF??

I'm not to computer savvy so step by step instructions would be very helpful if anybody know why or how to fix these problems

  1. Firstly use :

    Note: You should hit all "Repair" buttons even though it may not say "Found!" This will fix a wallpaper hijack everytime if all repair buttons are pressed.

    Remove all infections that it finds after scan.

    or  BitDefender;

    Finally download trial of Windows Live OneCare and Scan:

    If the problem persists, turn OFF System Restore - right click My Computer, select Properties, click System Restore tab and untick 'Turn off System Restore on all drives' -  then scan with the above programs - normally these will resolve the issue without Restore Points being affected.

    Also remember to turn ON System Restore when done and create a new restore Point. Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.
