I painted my kitchen a light green accent wall with the rest a deep organic green. I have white cabinets and white appliances. I don't want a beige wall- but rather something brighter. I've thought about a bright orange- but honestly i'm afraid that it isn't going to look right. Please help me choose a color scheme that will look good with these counters: http://samples.wilsonart.com/p-486-antique-topaz-4863-07.aspx

  1. possibly something in this color range...http://www.d**k-blick.com/items/006/24/s...

I like the middle color the best

You can also google a color wheel and pick colors out of your counter tops and see what it opposite that color...and go with that on your walls.  Burnt and Raw Sienna would go, Olive Green tones

  2. I would change the green walls to a warm apricot color. It's a muted version of orange and you could still have one wall lighter apricot and the other three a more intense apricot color. It would look great with the countertops--sort of an Italian Tuscan look!! : )

  3. Can't you just repaint the kitchen?  I actually think green COULD go if you use the right decor.  But that's just my opinion.  Is it a pea green, sage green, mint green, forest green???

    Edit:

I read the rest of your comments.  Maybe a peach or salmon color would work?

  4. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think an orange like "spiced cider" (# 7702) would look absolutely gorgeous.

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  5. i love the orange idea thats exactly what i thought when i looked at the counter top, but i wouldn't go with bright orange, more like a burnt orange. My mom wants to re-paint our kitchen also and we went into Portland pie ( the pizza place) and she loved the color on the wall and it was the prettiest orange like ever. So if you have a Portland pie near you then go in and look at the wall color and ask them what it is. But the white cabinets might not be the best, so first paint your walls and if you don't like that then get a nice rich stain and stain them, that would be like my dream kitchen (except with stainless steal appliances:)

    Good luck!!

  6. Heather go to Behr.com and see your colors on wall before you decide

    Good Luck

  7. My friend has similar counter tops and has her kitchen done in burgundy. It looks beautiful and rich with those counters.

  8. I would try more of a peach than an orange.

Orange, I think, would be pretty harsh on the eyes after a while.

  9. I agree with orange, but not bright, more of a pumpkin or autumn leaf color.
