I just removed frozen chicken from the freezer with my bare hands. Can salmonella live in freezing temps?

I should report the rest of you, because you didn't answer the question, which is not only against the rules, it is also rude, stupid, and completely UNhelpful. But I won't.

  1. If the chicken was wrapped and  you washed your hands (like you should whenever touching raw meat) you don't need to worry.


  2. Yes, almost every germ and virus goes into a dormant stage when they are introduced into a cold or freezing envirioment.  Heat is the only effective way to kill most germs and most virus....

  6. My question is why would you have an unwrapped chicken in your freezer in the first place?

    Wash your hands well, and disinfect anything the chicken touched. (like the counter, or whatever.)
