.... can actually afford THAT? I mean, 19 grands for one night... But let's imagine, you make holidays for a week, this would mean 133,000 $..... Why are such rooms built? I would think that the chances are very high that they will be empty most of the time?!

Just because you can't afford this does not mean that no one can.  It won't be rented for a week's vacation.  It's rented to business people who need something exciting to show off for no more than a night or two and then can write it off.

The most expensive suite at the Waldorf Astoria is over $10,000 per night and it's rarely vacant.

That is for celebrities and high-level business executives.

At $19000 a night they don't need to rent it very many nights to still make a nice profit from it!

And it makes the $5000/night room seem cheap in comparison!
