I just signed up for yahoo today and i would likw to know how to make one of those animated ppl?

You can't use animated GIFS in Yahoo Answers if that us what you are referring to. There are specific animated gif programs available to create them.

For Yahoo Answers you have the option of an Avatar or a Picture.

For an Avatar go to http://avatars.yahoo.com and create one.

For a picture first locate one on your computer. If it is online then download it.

Create a Yahoo 360 account if you don;t have one. You can get one at http://360.yahoo.com .

Click on the "My Page" tab and then "Edit Personal Photos".

You are allowed to put four pictures there by following the instructions.

Mark the one you want to use as primary.

Now for both Avatars and Pictures save everything and go back to Yahoo Answers.

Click on your old avatar in Yahoo Answers and then go to "Edit My Info".

You can pick the avatar or picture there to use.

What you are calling "animated" people is actually called an avatar.

Just click on the black and white shadow one you have now, that will take you to your Answers profile page.

From there, click EDIT MY INFO.

On the next page that pops up, scroll down until you see PICTURE.

You are given 3 choices:

No Picture (what you have now)

Use My Yahoo 360 Picture (you need a 360 account to enable this option)

Use My Yahoo Avatar

Click (dot) "Use my Yahoo avatar". If you don't have one, create one by clicking on EDIT MY YAHOO AVATAR.
