I just snaked out my toilet and now it flushes ok, but it won't fill all the way up. Why & what can I do?

  1. Check the float adjustment in the tank. Bend or twist the brass rod holding the ball on its end to a position that allows it to fill to the water level mark on the rear inner wall of the tank. Flush it after adjusting until it cuts off right on the mark.
