I just spilled blue candle wax all over my carpet.?

Question

I, without thinking tried to wipe it up right away so it kinda got ground in.. the sad part it is it is like royal blue...any products or tips to help me get it out?

spill some more...... all the wax thats melted and rubbed in will stick to this and then peel it off XD

Hold ice cubes on it for a few mins then it will easily peel off with a little help from a blunt knife

Carley (poster above) answered this the same way I would have.

Be sure to remove any thick excess first with a spoon or the dull side of a butter knife.

You also may be able to use a carpet spot remover to pick up any remainng residue after very low setting ironing.  Follow the instructions on the bottle and remember to use a white cloth or all white paper towel. No prints.

Place a towel over it, and then iron over the towel.

The towel will absorb it as it melts.

You may need to do this a few times.

Get up as much as you can with a spoon or knife or something. Then, get a paper bag and an iron. Put the paper bag over the wax stain and iron it for a few seconds; the wax will come up off the carpet and stick to the bag. Just make sure to keep rotating the bag around and don't let it get too wet looking or else you'll iron the wax right back on the carpet. The towel would work too but then you've ruined a towel!

Wait until it's dry........ Now, go grab your iron and some paper towel... Make sure to stack quite a few paper towels on top of each other. Heat up your iron to a low setting and hold it over the paper towel as you would if you were ironing (make sure you don't burn the paper towel and that you don't put the iron on the rug, some rugs can melt). The paper towel will absorb the candle wax, ta da!
