I just started Ortho-Lo to regulate periods?

I have been off of depo-provera for a year. I was having irregular periods, so my Dr. put me on Ortho Lo. My husband and I plan to start TTC in the next year. (We are waiting for me to "regulate). I started taking it 2 weeks ago and missed 2 pills (we were out of town and I forgot). Since I started taking the pills my b*****s are VERY sore, I am VERY moody, and I have had a lot of discharge (sorry, TMI). Is my body just adjusting? Could I have gotten pregnant? Did anyone have these symtoms when you started BCPs?

  1. Clomid is better to regulate your period if you're trying to conceive, you can talk to your doctor about thisk, you can read more about this and ask doctors online for free for advice, try fertilityties.com

    good luck!!

  2. I used to take ortho-lo 5 years ago for a total of 3 years before I switched to Yaz.  I would ALWAYS get sore b*****s every month with orthotricyclin-lo.  I believe that ortho-lo gradually raises progesterone in your body (each different color pill white, light blue, dark blue, has an increasing amount).  That is why you get sore b*****s.  I don't remember the discharge part, but I believe your body is just adjusting.  If you are really worried about pregnancy, then you can take a test at the earliest, the day of your missed period.  I really think that you are okay and it's just your body dealing with the new different birth control method.  Good Luck with everything!  Don't be worried to call your doctor if something is really worrying you.  They prescribed the pills so I'm sure they've heard it all! Best wishes!! :o)

  3. Those are all very normal side effects of the pill.  It's very unlikely that you got pg by missing 2 pills.
