I just started a new yahoo group... tips/ideas PLEASE! - analyze_lyrics?

Question

I'm not trying to get anyone to join (Though feel free to!) I would just like some tips or ideas from anyone.

Basically we take a song/poem every week or two and figure out what the artist is trying to tell us, or the message inside the song.

Everyone can submit a song of their favorite group or by themselves and I'm THINKING about announcing the best analasis... before the next song is posted...

Is that a good idea, the contest thing?

Does anyone out there have any tips or other fun ideas to make it really cool? Thanks so much if you do!

sounds like a good idea to me. many groups also use the polls feature to keep groups active, some polls can be pretty creative

It seems to be a nice idea! In addition, you may choose one member's fav artist and let her /him choose the poem/song to discuss each week. Moreover, you can identify a theme every week/two weeks and choose the poem / sing related to that theme.
