I didn't slow into the transition..I cut out all, meat, poultry and etc. Is my body just going through a detox. I don't enjoy throwing up all the time.

  1. If you completely switched from a meat eating diet to no meats or poultry or fish, and you are only eating veggies and fruits and grains, you might be getting too much fiber. Are you eating beans for protein? Are you eating alot of green leafy vegetables?

When I quit eating dairy (cheese) I had horrible stomach cramps. It was like a with-drawl.

There are books and sites you can read when you go all vegan. If you aren't careful and don't study the vegan diet you could do harm to your body. Read as much on it as you can so you are sure not to malnourish your system.

    Good Luck!

  2. your depriving your body of things it is used to having ang should have.

might want to still eat small portiens of white meat just no red meat.

  3. Can be pregnancy, lack of a specific type of vitamin in your body, allergy to any of the vegetables you are eating or it is just the detox process.

  4. eat meat, its called the food chain

  5. Vitamins!! get you some vitamins. I needed them at first. Now sadly I dont even take them.  That and rest.

But it might not be the none meat eating. See a doctor if you can. Drink water. Its ewwies but drink lots of water.

  6. Most likely you are reacting to a very increased intake of fiber from the extra fruits and vegetables and grains.  Your body needs time to adjust to this and gradually changing is much better...digesting the fiber produces gas and it is much more bulky than the other foods, so it causes gastric distension and bloating and big changes in your stools.

You really need to follow the transition advice; and if you are actually vomiting I would strongly advise checking with your doctor, as abrupt large volumes of fiber can actually cause intestinal blockage.

  7. First of all, THANK YOU for becoming a vegetarian. In doing so, you are saving hundreds of poor animals from being abused, slaughtered, skinned and left to die alone and in pain.

Now, as for the sickness. It is most likely that you just threw yourself into it. I did the same thing and ended up with anemia (low iron.)

You can't JUST eat vegetables. You need to eat foods high in protein and iron, to replace the meat. Things like beans (we eat burritos all the time) and cooking with artificial meat, veggie dogs etc. The best brand is called YVES by the way. Also, when you are ingesting non heme iron (from non animal foods) make sure to do it with vitamin c, to help absorb.

The vitamins you need to have ( and should buy ) are b6 and b12. These will keep you alive on a veg lifestyle.

  8. It sounds like you might be pregnant.  You might want to check and make sure you're not!

  9. Cutting out meat does not cause anyone to throw up, but I hear being a troll can be quite painful.
