You see, I moved away for just a year. And when I came back, I see everyone established in their own little cliques. My "best friend" has her own thing going on. I don't think she wants much to do with me anymore because I didn't keep in as much contact with her as I should have. I really tried but I needed to get myself a life in my other town and I've never moved before so it was confusing. Anyways, now I'm in high school and people are happy to see me again, but there's this air of superficiality about them. I really want to make some new friends, or get back together with my old ones. It just feels awkward getting to know people. Especially at this age (im a freshman). It's not kindergarden anymore. Everyone is established in their own cliques now! I know everybody though. Can you please help? I don't want to be lacking true friends throughout my high school years!

  1. Hate to sound rude but you will get friends as time moves on..Your not at school to see how many friends you can get you are at school to learn..

  2. Join extra curricular activities

  3. simply put: your a freshman, so was i a year ago. This year is tough cuz people are joining middle schools into the high school wait till your softmore, all the ruckus will die down then pick a group of people to sit with at lunch and work from there. be nice, don't do drugs, wont help you now will they?, and be there for others so they can be there for you.
