I just started lifting a curl bar?

i have 2 10 pound plates and 2 25 pound plates

i want to build speed and strenght which 1s do i use

the two 25s are hard to curl

  1. If you're looking for pure strength, you want to lift low reps of heavy weight.  Lifting high reps of light weight will build endurance.  So, I would recommend doing 5 or 6 sets of how ever many you can do with the 25 plates (or if you can't do many, start with the 10's and work your way up to the 25's).  As for the speed, work on bringing the curl bar up to your chest as fast as possible.  Bring the bar down slow, then pop it back up to your chest.
