  1. confidence is key! but not cockeyness

listen to the more experienced players on your side, they'll take u under there wing and help you out.

agression aswell. dont be violent. but be physically. you have to make yourself known on a pitch. and cause your opposite number or defender problems. almost like your picking on them! make sure if somone runs down your channel they'll think twice before doing it next time!

    finally, dont wear white boots!!

  2. wear a scrum cap to prevent getting cauliflower ears

  3. Start watching rugby games, I assume you know all the rules but watching is the best way to learn second to actually playing the game.

Be sure to learn the crucial basics of the game like tackling and passing and as they say...

    practice makes perfect.

good luck and enjoy the beautiful game of Rugby!

  4. All of this is good advice but just to add to it, the most important thing I've learned is that when you walk out onto that pitch, you play like it's gonna be your last game. You leave it all out there and you give it everything you have, not for yourself, but for your teamates, your family, who are working as hard as they can and expecting you to do the same. When you come off that field you should be mentally and physically exausted and when you do that, and you KNOW you played your best, it's then that, win or lose, putting your body on the line for that passion and love for the game is ALL worth it. Good luck! :-D

  5. Best advice i can give you being a rugby player myself is that if you are scared of getting hurt then you are probably going to get hurt. commit yourself to a tackle and you won't come off second best
