  1. I think you would have trouble conversing with someone 0 years old.Edit.....      why the thumbs down? I didn't say 0-85yrs.

  2. The quickest way to get started is to buy your leads.  It's easier to sell something to someone who is looking to buy insurance coverage than to try and talk someone into it who is not looking or thinking about it.

You'll want to make sure you are buying a good quality lead and you should not pay a fortune for the lead you are buying.  I'd say a fair price could be anywhere between $12 and $30 per lead.

There are many lead services out there, netquote.com, insureme.com, elquote.com are a few I can think of off hand that are on the Internet.

You can also start your own marketing campaign,  I've always been a big fan of direct mail for myself.  Pick a market you want to work, in your case you stated young people.  Think of things young people do, like groups they may belong to and so on.  get a list of the people that my belong to that group and send them a letter or post card offering them information on a coverage.  I always include a self addressed envelope with a pre printed reply asking for their contact information, age and a few simple health questions, if they reply i contact them ASAP, again its always easier to sell something to someone who is looking than is not.

  3. It's really hard.  That's why there's a 95% washout rate.

You have to work really hard drumming up sales - 80 hour weeks.  Weekends, knocking on doors in target neighborhoods.

They won't come to you, I promise - you HAVE to go to them.

  4. I started out with a lead-based selling system. They get leads in your area, give you training in sales if needed... and support you the whole way.

    website is:  naadavies.com

I built up a customer base & no longer work with them - so I'm getting no kick-backs for sending you to them.

    Good luck
