I just started taking Paxil 20mg. How long will it take for drowsiness side effect to go away?

I was told that it can take 2 weeks to get used to medication.

I was also told it would take 2 weeks, however, it took me about 6 weeks to feel 'right' on Paxil... which is when it is supposed to be fully effective. Try not to worry if your tiredness don't go away quite at 2 weeks... these are just guidelines and everyone is different. Once the Paxil is working to it's full potential... you will feel lots better! Hang in there dear!

i would say two weeks is about right for the body to begin to adjust, do not look for major changes in mood for about six weeks.
