  1. Im assuming this is your first job as a waiter. Here are some helpful tips for you. Always smile when you are out on the floor, no matter how mad you may really be. The customers dont need to see that you are upset, they came out to eat to have a good time. Also, always look like you are busy. There is ALWAYS something to do in a restaurant. That way you dont look like you are lazy. Keep on top of refilling drinks. That scores a lot of points with your customers.

This should help you starting off. Basically you have to find your own niche and run with it.

    Good luck!!

  2. Patience, be nice to people, get them everything they ask for... any problem they have just go talk to the manager so he can solve it. You must be smiley and very fake all the time.

Build good relationships with the chefs and hostesses, since they will be in charge of who they sit in your section and how long it's gonna take for your food to be out.

  3. Ya dont drop the plates, and if you do make sure you drop them all for maximum effect.  Also on real hot days going in the walkin cooler for a minute is an awesome fealing and a good wake you upper.  Good luck.

  4. No one is ever hungry for dessert, so always say "Would you like me to box up one of our wonderful desserts to take with you for later?"

And SMILE SMILE SMILE   You will do great!

  5. Listen to the customer. No one likes an inattentive waiter that gets the order wrong or makes them wait to get the bill when they tell you they are on a lunch break and need to get back to work.

SMILE. Be friendly neat and clean.

Be helpful to you associates but don't expect them to reward you.
