  1. you really can't go wrong with burton, so if that's the one you like you should get it! it's also the cheapest burton board, and like u said, u didn't want to spend a whole lot and get a good price. to get w/e board it is you want for the cheapest price possible, always look for it on amazon.com they're awsome, that's where i got mine! (i have a Rome detail snowboard)

  2. um, yes you certainly CAN go wrong w/burton,  you should be looking at more than just the brand name,  the burton feather is their lowest priced board for a girl, this means several things, it's very flexible and forgiving, so starting out, that will be great for you, but, once you develop your abilities a bit, you will quickly outgrow this board.  Also, the feather is made in china, most likely by someone that's never ridden a board in their lives.  you should go to a board shop and talk to some of their people about where you want to take you riding, and what you think your skill level is at.

Don't get me wrong, burton does make some great boards, I have a custom as part of my quivver and it's ridden probably the most of all my boards, i also have a nitro and a lib tech, each one designed for specific riding condtions, and style.

In order to get a great board at a great price, you should def get a season old board.  It's like cars, if you get it a year old, you will get a great price on it b/c the shops are trying to get rid of last season's boards.  so if i were you, i'd wait until april.

    also there's some good sites,

    www.dogfunk.com

    www.whiskeymilitia.com

    www.the-house.com

  3. Yeah the Burton feather is a good choice for a first board. Other boards that would suit you also are

    K2 Skyla

    K2 Moment

    Nitro Mystique

    Salomon Lotus

    Sapient Fluid

The size you should go for is around a 145, Good luck with the riding.

  4. it's good for beginner...and it's riding, not boarding.

  5. Now is the time to purchase a good board, you might not find that the one you are looking for is on sale right now, but there are other ones, with more affordable prices and they are just as good as the name brand that you are looking for, check out this

  6. It's the most beginner girls board so you'd outgrow it skills wise in a season.

Look for a board a step up from that one.  I have the Forum Aura and loce it, in the 146 you'd do fine on it.

Most shops are starting to try and clear out their boards so they should cut you a nice deal.

  7. I haven't ridden the Feather, but I've heard it's a good board especially for a beginner. It should last you a few years too. I just bought a board at REI, and they have crazy deals right now. Right now they have the Feather for $150 (half off & the best price I've seen for the Feather), so check them out if you have one local. They only have a144 online which I think will suit you well since you said you're almost done growing. The next size up is a 149 which is a bit long for you right now.

  8. I'd recommend Burton anything.

  9. GNU amazing boards at a cheap price
