I just stopped taking my birth control at the beginning of July ?

and have been having s*x regularly, could it be since I just recently got off birth control that i'm not getting pregnant? I was only taking my bc for two months. But could it really still possibly affect the chances of me getting pregnant?

Your body could still be getting rid of the hormones from the pills.  You also could be missing the window to get pregnant...unless you are having s*x every single day.  But I've heard that isn't good either for conceiving because the males need a chance to produce more sperm.  It's possible though that the pills are still getting out of your system.  I've heard from some mom's it took them a little while to get pg after stopping the pills, others got pg right away.  It's tough because everyone is different.  It's still early, you just started.  Give yourself some time  :)  Not sure if you've ever read it, but Taking Charge of Your Fertility is a very good and informative book.  Good luck

It all depends on your body & how it reacts to bc. I was on bc for a year and got prego the 1st month off but others I know tried for a year after they stopped taking it.

With or without previously taking birth control it can take a perfectly fertile couple 12 months to conceive..

Doctors suggest to have at least 1 'natural' period before TTC.

If you were taking bc it takes a little bit for the hormones to clear out of your body from what I've read. Also, you have missed your ovulation. Considering you have 72 hours to get pregnant in the whole month I would give it few more before I started to really worry. Also, it could be the increase  of your partners o****m, too frequently or not frequently enough effects your chances. If you are stressing about it as well, it won't happen. A woman's body must be in the right state of mind to except sperm. Relax, focus on having fun and enjoying life and poof! it will happen.
