Now the Chief Operating Officer is leaving, an art director has resigned and I'm pretty sure this negative situation will spark off a resignation frenzy.

It is pretty demoralising. What shall a newbie like me do? what's your view on this? thanx

  1. Recognize staffing upheavals and departures are pretty common in advertising.  Just the nature of a business that must service clients and keep them satisfied. Always a bad sign when a C-level departure takes place.

If you're pretty new, stay put while you look for something else.  Solidify your portfolio for freelance work. Copywriting is always in demand.

Often, hardworking junior staffers are less affected by the politics. You could also go directly to your manager and ask whether you should be worried.

If you don't like the agency biz, as a freelance copywriter and chef you'll have two jobs to fall back on.
