  1. i was in home school when i was in 3rd grade and it sucked but you have to get the books at any book store math reading sciencee stuff like that and go down to the city hall and fill out a paper saying that your son is in school and you are legal girden just  contact your city hall that easy hope that helps

    have a nice day

  2. Check your state for homeschooling laws and requirements and get the paperwork filed with your state. Then you need to choose if you want to teach him yourself or online homeschooling. Decide if you will use bible based or secular curriculum. Think about what kind of a budget you have to spend on this curriculum. K12 and Connections Academy offer free online public schooling to certain states. You can also get books from your local library that are free. Abeka, BJU, and Sonlight offer good bible based curriculums. Good luck to you.

  3. Find an accreditied homeschool program, or if you have a charter school in the area thats basicaly the same thing.

  4. I'm sorry about the responses you've been getting thus far.  You came here for information and you deserve to have decent answers to your questions.

In order to homeschool, you must be in compliance with the laws of your state: http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/regi...  This is where you start.

Next, you want to find your state's homeschooling association(s), which will provide you with a wealth of information, including where to find support groups: http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/webl...

Decide on a method or methods you wish to use to homeschool: http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/meth...

    And...have some fun!

    All the best.

  5. I hope you're not the one homeschooling him. Your grammar is terrible.

  6. Look for a local homeschhooling community, and get him books and stuff like that.  There are many computer programs that you can use as a curriculum.  You could also see if there's a homeschooling cooperative in your area; those are fun, I grew up in one.

Just look around, see what fits best with your lifestyle and preferences.  But I must warn you, homeschooling is not hands-off.  It's a highly collaborative process, and it takes a lot of discipline and thought.

Good luck, I hope all goes well for you!

  8. I think you should have thought about this before hand.

    You're doomed.

  9. probably should have thought about that b4 you pulled him our

  10. Please tell me you did your paperwork to be compliant with the law and your not truant.

OK. Now a great curriculumis K12. It's free in alot of states. Not religious based. Same as public school, just on computer and at home. I really like it.

Another option is possibly, and I use extreme caution here, giving you and your son some time (a short time) to deschool while you search for your families right fit..  Use the public library. Pretend you 2 are in a book club together. Hold discussions,do reports get to know each other again. Go to your local teacher supply store or college bookstore, find a few workbooks to get use to the idea of homeschooling. But you have to commit to educating your son every minute of everyday in a meaningful way. As a parent our ultimate goal is to raise a productive adult.  If you know in your heart you being with your son  is best for him---then you go girl!!!

  11. Yeah, I think you shoulda thought of that before you yanked him outa class.

Look into charter schools and private schools as well. Homeschooling is a lot of work, and where it seems that you're not exactly into organization and preparation, that might be a little more effective for both of you.
