  1. You'll be fine.  I take 3 20mg prozac pills every day, which is twice as much as you just took.  I do weigh a bit more than you, and I have habituated to my current dose though.

You could feel a little bit shaky, or nervous, but you will be okay.

You shouldn't take a dose larger than you are supposed to.  You should go and tell your parents, and talk to your doctor about it.

You aren't going to die, you probably won't even get sick.  But it is important that you let others know what you did, and try to understand why you did it yourself.

    Good luck.

  2. I'm just curious.  Why'd you do such a thing as that?  It's not an accident, and it's not really an overdose (although it might mess you up).  Antidepressants take 2-6 weeks to work, so tossing a couple extra in one night wouldn't make any difference.  So, what was the point?

If start up of the med is making you feel worse, talk to your parents about it.  That will probably pass, but someone needs to know.  If you have been on Prozac for a while and are still depressed, talk to your parents about setting up another appt with the doc to see about getting your dose adjusted.  There are easy and straightforward ways to hand problems with depression.  The meds, however, aren't candy, so don't play with them.  You may end up being handed one at dinner like a child because you screwed around.

  3. you should be fine, however it could cause a sickness called serotonin syndrome where your body gets too much serotonin and you can become ill from it. it is like an overdose of serotonin. here is a site to help you make sure you dont develop symptoms of SS and if you do tell an adult immediately!

  4. Please get off the computer and tell your parents now, please.

What people are not thinking about when they post. "You should be fine" is WHY this CHILD, with an obvious history of depression took 3xs her dose.

A 14 year old does not know the signs of symptoms of serotonin syndrome, she is not an adult and her body is NOT the same as an adult. Serotonin Syndrome can be fatal.

Don't post without all the facts or knowledge, she needs to tell her parents. Would you want YOUR 14 yr old to keep silent?

  5. I honestly don't know.  But if I were you I would tell you parents right away and possibly call Poison Control.

  6. um..you might wana go get your stomach pumped...that is bad... you will probably die if you dont go get help...
